The imprisoned former Detroit mayor, his father and his friend could appear in court Thursday for a status conference on their appeals case.

Kwame Kilpatrick, Bernard Kilpatrick and Bobby Ferguson are in prison after being convicted on several federal corruption charges.

They are not required to appear in Detroit federal court for Thursday's status conference.

The defendants have appealed after a judge sentenced them to prison.

Kwame Kilpatrick and Bobby Ferguson are, however, required to appear in court Dec. 10 for a restitution hearing.
