SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -

Southfield police are investigating a stranger danger incident involving a 9-year-old boy and a man on a bike.

Police said the boy told them he was walking Monday evening with his 14-year-old sister in the area of West 12 Mile Road and Everett Street when a man peddled up to him and grabbed his arm and jacket.

Police said the boy was able to get free and was able to get home to tell his mother what had happened.

Responding officers found the suspect, as identified by the boy, on Everett Street and arrested him on unrelated charges.

Police said the suspect was arrested for outstanding traffic warrant out of Plymouth Township. He is also on parole for a home invasion in Southfield.
