Single-game Tigers tickets on sale Saturday

Wristbands will be given away at 3 p.m. Friday

DETROIT – Opening Day for the Detroit Tigers is quickly approaching.

Single-game tickets for the upcoming season go on sale Saturday morning, but if you want to get your hands on some tickets, you'll need a wristband to do so.

On Saturday, between 8:15-8:30 a.m. a number will be randomly selected and that number will start the line.

All other numbers will then be placed in numerical order through 1,000 and then one through the last number drawn.

Individuals without the wristbands will be at the back of the line.

The tickets go on sale at 10 a.m.

So how do you get a wristband?

Fans may pick up wristbands on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. for the chance to buy tickets at the Comerica Park box office on Saturday.

To pick them up, enter through the Tiger Club Lobby off of Witherell Street at 2100 Woodward Avenue.

Wristbands must be worn and displayed for proper identification on Saturday.

Fans will only be issued one per person and are not guaranteed tickets.

Those with wristbands will line up at 9:30 a.m., if you miss the lineup time even with a wristband, you'll need to go to the end of the line.
