A Sheriff's vehicle's dashcam captured the chase and part of the crash.

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. -

A Macomb County Sheriff's vehicle was involved in a chase Friday evening which ended in a crash on Gratiot Avenue just south of Henry Joy Road in Mount Clemens.

The deputy in the vehicle suffered minor injuries, as did a man and woman in the other vehicle.

Dashcam video from another Sheriff's vehicle shows the collision. The chase started about four minutes earlier when the deputy tried to pull the vehicle over. After stopping for a moment, the driver sped off and the deputy followed in pursuit.

At one point, the suspect's vehicle struck a stop sign, ripping off its front bumper. That did not stop them from continuing to flee.

A second Sheriff's collided with the suspect's vehicle.

Southbound traffic was blocked on Gratiot Avenue.
