A semi-truck hauling thousands of pounds of watermelon got wedged under an overpass in Detroit on Tuesday.

The truck, which is 13.5 feet tall, hit an overpass on the eastbound I-94 service drive near 14th Street.

The overpass allowance is 12.7 feet tall.

The driver was headed to Marysville from Miami.

A tow company unloaded 40,000 pounds of watermelon, before pulling the semi-truck out.

The impact of the crash peeled off a portion of the trailer’s top.
