Roderick Bridges killed Nov. 2 outside Jimmy's Lounge

DETROIT – Crime Stoppers is offering a reward to find the person who killed a Detroit father as he tried to hide from gunfire last fall.

Police said Roderick Bridges, 32, fell to the ground in front of a car on Nov. 2 outside Jimmy's Lounge on the city's east side when shots rang out.

The driver of the car ran over Bridges and didn't stop.

Bridges leaves behind seven children, ranging in age from 7 to 16.

Bridges also played football for P.A.L. as a part of a championship team.

Crime Stoppers also said Bridges wasn't able to work since he had previously been shot in the leg trying to break up a fight.

There is a $2,500 cash reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Tips can be called in anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAKUP.
