REFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

Schools within the South Redford School District were under shelter in place restrictions Wednesday afternoon while Redford Township police investigated a report of shots fired on Kendall Court just north of Interstate 96 between Beech Daly and Inkster Roads.

No one was allowed to enter or leave the schools, but the restriction has been lifted as police wrapped up their investigation.

Police said no schools were involved. The shelter in place restriction was just a precaution.

The schools that were under the restriction are Redford Thurston High School, Addams Elementary, Shear Pre-School and Pierce Middle School.
