Former Bishop Foley teacher accused in sex case waives preliminary hearing

Kathryn Ronk charged with criminal sexual conduct for allegedly being involved with 15-year-old

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. – A former Bishop Foley High School teacher who is accused of having sex with a 15-year-old student in her classroom was in court Tuesday and waived her preliminary hearing.

Kathryn Ronk has been charged with five counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony that could carry a sentence of life in prison. The 29-year-old's case was bound over to circuit court.

Police said Ronk, a Spanish teacher, allegedly engaged in multiple sex acts with the student.
