Local 4's Shawn Ley reports from Detroit on the flooded freeways commuters faced Thursday morning.

Heavy rains have led to a messy commute Thursday morning in metro Detroit.

Several roadways have standing water, flooding or debris.

Here is a list from MDOT of traffic incidents

Traffic incident on southbound I-275 at 8 Mile Road involving 1 vehicle affecting the left shoulder and left lane.

Traffic incident on southbound I-75 at 14 Mile Road involving 2 vehicles affecting the left shoulder.

Local 4's Brandon Roux reports  all watches and warnings have expired for Metro Detroit, but rain and flood concerns do exist through the morning -- That means some of your local roads may have clogged storm drains and flooded side streets. And be careful driving as hydroplaning may occur as the major highways are still very soggy. Expect light rain this morning tapering off through noon and then only a few hit and miss showers through the afternoon. Highs today will stop in the mid 70s and the winds will be increasing NW 10-20 mph with a few stronger gusts.
