Police seek Southfield bank robber

Southfield police say woman robbed Comerica Bank Tuesday afternoon

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Southfield police are looking for a woman who, they say, robbed a bank Tuesday afternoon in the 29000 block of Telegraph Road. 

The woman entered Comerica Bank about 1:50 p.m., approached a teller and held up a note which read, "I have a gun large bills." Police say she told the teller "hurry up, I have a gun" while the teller was giving her an unknown amount of cash.

She fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction. 

Police say the gun wasn't seen but was implied by the robber. 

Robber description: 

She is described as a 30 or 40-year-old woman with a dark complexion, standing about 5 feet 5 inches or 5 feet 7 inches and weighing about 180 pounds. She has a heavy build and crooked teeth. 

She was wearing a black wig with gold streaks, sunglasses, a red shirt with short sleeves, and blue jeans with a gold design embossed on the rear pockets. She was carrying a black and gold purse.
