CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Clinton Township police are searching for witnesses to a critical one-car crash that happened at 3:45 a.m. Sunday.
Police say a 2009 blue Jeep traveling westbound on I-94 tried to navigate the southbound Harper Avenue ramp when it lost control and went off the ramp. The Jeep continued down the embankment and stopped in the grassy area below the ramp.

The 22-year-old Saint Clair Shores woman driving the Jeep suffered severe internal injuries and was removed from the scene by medical personnel.
I-94 closed due to the accident but has since reopened.
