Surveillance video catches suspect, dark SUV

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Police are searching for a shoplifting suspect who was involved in a shooting at a Home Depot in Auburn Hills on Tuesday. Surveillance video from the store shows the man pushing a cart out the door and through the parking lot. You can see the video below.

Authorities say another customer in the parking lot saw loss prevention officers trying to stop the shoplifting suspect, and decided it was a good time to use his concealed pistol.

Auburn Hills police say the customer saw the suspect get into a dark colored SUV and begin to flee. That's when she fired shots at the SUV. A picture of the suspect's SUV is below.

Police say the shooter has a concealed pistol license (CPL) and is cooperating with police. No injuries have been reported.

The shoplifting suspect is described as a black man in his 40s. A second suspect is described as a white man between 40 and 50 years old. He was wearing a black shirt with yellow writing on it and a black baseball cap.

Police are investigating. No arrests have been made.
