PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

Plymouth Township police say a missing 15-year-old girl who family say ran away with a 37-year-old man has been found with the man.

The teen and Bob Messer left matching notes behind for their respective families, in which they declared their love for one another. They had been missing since Sunday night but both were found Tuesday with self-inflicted wounds. The injuries are minor, police say.

They were in a field in Washtenaw County.

The teenage girl is being treated for the injuries. She is at a hospital.

Messer also was treated and is being held by police pending charges.
