Mitchell "Roderick" Young faces his own trial after codefendant Tucker Cipriano pleaded no contest to felony murder in the attacks that left Tucker's father, Bob Cipriano, dead and his mother and brother severely injured.

Young also faces an attempted murder charge. The jury was selected Monday.

Prosecutors say Young and Tucker Cipriano were smoking synthetic marijuana and were seeking drugs and money when they attacked.

Young's trial will go on unless there is a guilty or no contest plea, such as Tucker's.
