National Suit Drive to benefit disadvantaged workers

Men's Wearhouse charity drive to benefit disadvantaged individuals trying to re-enter the workforce.

DETROIT – Men's Wearhouse is holding its eighth annual National Suit Drive to benefit disadvantaged individuals trying to re-enter the workforce.

More than 900 Men's Wearhouse stores across the US and Canada will be collecting "gently used" men's and women's suits, shirts, jackets, ties, belts and shoes and distributing them to over 180 local charities. The used business attire is part of the charities' plan to mentor, coach and outfit those in need who are attempting to re-enter the workforce.

In addition, the company is also launching a social media awareness campaign using the hashtag "#giveasuit," and has pledged to donate $1 (up to $25,000) to local charities for every share on their Facebook page.

Men's Wearhouse has stated their goal is to collect 250,000 items of clothing for the 2015 campaign. If successful they will reach a total of one million items donated since the campaign began in 2008.
