Speed limit

DETROIT -

If you have a lead foot, you might be in luck.

A Michigan senator is working on a proposal to raise the freeway speed limit to 75 or even 80 miles per hour.

Sen. Rick Jones says he wants the state to conduct speed studies and then set new limits based on that average speeds that emerge from the data.

The proposal could be ready for a vote by the fall.

What do you think of raising the limit?
