Man found shot to death in car on Detroit’s east side

Detroit Police are investigating an early-morning shooting that left one man dead.

Detroit Police tell us they were dispatched to the 14000 block of Maddelein Street around 4:30 Saturday morning for a shooting that had just occurred.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a vehicle that had hit a tree. In the driver’s seat was a 61-year-old male with several gunshot wounds to the body. The man was pronounced dead on scene.

Police are still investigating if the shooting happened before or after the man hit the tree.

There are no suspects in custody at this time.
