ROCHESTER HILLS -

A Washington Township man has been charged with home invasion for allegedly being drunk and breaking into a couple's home on Tuesday night.

Nicholas Arcari, 22, is accused of throwing a large landscape rock through the window of a home in the 3100 block of Quail Ridge in Rochester hills.

The 87-year-old homeowner heard the noise and called police.

It was revealed that Arcari had been at a Detroit Tigers game with some friends the night before but had been dropped off by friends somewhere in the area. He was lost, had been drinking and had fallen into a river.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment before being jailed. The home invasion charge is a felony, punishable with up to five years in prison.
