Man carjacked while waiting at stoplight in Detroit

DETROIT – Detroit police say a 56-year-old man was carjacked Friday at around 5 p.m. while waiting at the stoplight at the corner of Livernois Avenue and Davidson Street.

Two men walked up to the victim's car and tried to pull him out, but failed, police say. Authorities said the suspects then got into the man's car, went through his pockets and pushed him out of the car and onto the road.

The victim was uninjured. A four-door tan 2003 Lexus 300 with license plate number ADA821 was stolen, according to DPD.

Police are still searching for the two suspects. One is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 190 pounds, white and in his 20s. He was wearing dark clothing. The other is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 190 pounds and black.
