The man exposed himself as he was driving, according to at least two police reports.

ROYAL OAK, Mich. -

A driver in Royal Oak reportedly has been distracting other drivers in an obscene way.

Police are accusing 20-year-old Bradley James Beckett of crimes most drivers can't understand. They believe he is the man seen driving around town with his pants down, exposing himself to female drivers.

The first instance was reported Wednesday evening during rush hour at the busy intersection of 13 Mile Road and Woodward Avenue. A woman told police a man in a silver Ford Focus was fondling himself in an apparent attempt to get her attention.

That was followed by a similar report Thursday night. At about 10:40 p.m., a woman on 13 Mile Road near Rochester Road called police with a plate number of a silver Ford Focus. She told police the driver had exposed himself to her.

There may be other cases, too, where the driver did not call police.

Beckett was arrested and arraigned Friday on indecent exposure charges. If convicted, he could spend a year behind bars.

His next court date is July 25.
