Basketball legend Magic Johnson announces his exciting new plans for State Fairgrounds.

DETROIT -

Lansing developer Joel Ferguson and Earvin Magic Johnson may be the new owners of the Michigan State Fairgrounds when a purchase agreement is signed Wednesday in Lansing.

Once the deal is signed, Ferguson and Johnson have plans to bring a movie theatre and housing to the State Fairgrounds site at the corner of State Fair and Woodward Avenue in Detroit.

This development would be a great addition to the new shopping mall that recently opened nearby with Meijer as an anchor tenant.
