Local Rabbi named Global Hero finalist

Goldberg founded Kids Kicking Cancer

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Southfield Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg has been named a finalist in the CNN Global Hero contest. The Kids Kicking Cancer founder is one of 10 contestants named finalists for the honor.

Goldberg has worked at a camp for kids battling cancer for 12 years and has a close link to the difficulties they battle each day, as his two-year-old daughter passes away in 1981 after a battle with leukemia.
