SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -

Lawrence Technical University in Southfield has reason to celebrate after the school received a $20 million gift -- the largest of its kind in the school's 81-year history.

The donor wishes to remain anonymous. The money will support Lawrence Tech's STEM Center. STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics.

The center will help develop programs in robotics, nano-technology, synthetic biology and other fields.
