Dominique Nolff of Middleville was shot multiple times Friday and later died at a Lansing hospital. His 20-year-old roommate from Grand Haven also was shot. He was treated at the hospital and released.

Police said the man in the photos may have "significant" injuries to his face from a struggle with his victims.

The man is described as black, about 6 feet, three inches tall, 170 pounds and between 20 and 25 years old. He was wearing a black hooded North Face winter jacket, tan pants and black shoes.

Police don't believe the shooting is a random act.
