Joe Louis Arena parking garage, pedestrian tunnels likely closed

DETROIT -

The Joe Louis Arena Parking Garage and pedestrian tunnels will likely be closed Monday due to a power failure in downtown Detroit.

If power is restored and the facilities can be opened, they will operate.

The Detroit Red Wings are set to host the Islanders.

Alternate parking options include the following Cobo Center Parking Facilities
·Cobo Roof Deck, 625 W. Congress
·Congress Street Garage, 432 Congress
·Cobo Center Garage, 475 Washington Blvd.
·Washington Blvd. Garage, 1 Washington Blvd.

The following area bars offer a park and shuttle service for both pre-game and post-game:
