YPSILANTI, Mich. -

If you are a veteran, or the spouse of a veteran who is looking for a job, consider attending the Hiring Our Heroes event Wednesday, October 2, in Ypsilanti.

From banks to nonprofits and grocery stores, there are more than forty-five employers who will be a part of the event.

The hiring fair is sponsored by the University of Phoenix, the State of Michigan, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and NBC News, among others.

It will be held at the National Guard Armory at 7400 South Huron River Drive in Ypsilanti from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be an employment workshop focusing on resume writing, tips for navigating hiring fairs, military skill transition and interviewing will start at 9 a.m.

If you are interested in attending the workshop, visit U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Hiring Our Heroes.

Walk-ins are welcome to the fair, but registration will guarantee admission.
