Girl diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia dies

A girl who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on Sept. 11, 2008 at the age of 4 passed away Thursday night at her home.

In Dec. 2011, Local 4 reported Nicole Marie Burton's story and the story of two other children the Lake Orion community was helping to fight life threatening illnesses.

Burton's family and the Lake Orion community invited the public to attend a candlelight vigil Friday evening in honor of Nicole Burton at the Children's Park Gazebo in downtown Lake Orion.
