Detroit – There will be some good looking yards in metro Detroit by the looks of the crowd Sunday at Flower Day in Detroit's Eastern Market.
"I've never seen so many people and so many different kinds of flowers," said shopper Terry Scholes.

The annual event, now in its 48th year, is put on by the Metro Detroit Flower Growers Association.
It attracts gardeners of any age.
Kaido, of Farmington, brought his 4-month-old son to help give him a jump start on a growing a green thumb.
"He loves it," Kaido said.
The sheer size and selection can sometimes be overwhelming. There is more than 15 acres of annuals, perennials, foliage, shrubbery, trees, exotics, tropical plants, flats, hanging baskets and more. But, there's always someone nearby to help out.
Matthew Neuvirth, of Oakville Farm and Greenhouse, says he knows how to match each customer with the right plant.
"We have flowers that are easy to kill. We have flowers that are hard to kill. You just want to know what's best for your house so that you can really take care of it," Neuvirth said.
Pro, or not, gardening can be a challenge.
"I've killed a plant or two, but basically when I'm doing them out in the yard, I have not had any super-duper horror stories," said Nowanna Bailey, of Detroit.
The best advice? Always remember to water.
