Detroiters wanted for sing along celebrating the city

DETROIT -

Love Detroit and love to sing? Then here's your chance to show it.

Native Detroit, Grammy, Emmy,Tony and Webby award-winning and nominated songwriter/artist Allee Willis is returning to her hometown on Sept. 22 to film for her unofficial anthem to the city -- "The D."

It's open to anyone in the city who wants to sing, play and do whatever else they do to show their spirit in a series of filmed sing-alongs of all over the Motor City to create a record, video and documentary saluting the new Detroit.

The filming will be at the House of Soul.

The public is invited to sing along in the music video that will be filmed on Heidelberg Street.

Important notice: Anyone who wants to participate must fill out a waiver. You can download it here.

The waivers can be either scanned and emailed to emily@heidelberg.org or brought to the shoot.
