A trip to Washington DC became dangerous Saturday morning when the Detroit Chapter of the National Action Network (NAN) and two other buses collided.
A Metro Detroit woman on board the NAN bus said five people on board her bus were injured, three needed to be taken to the hospital. She says one of the other buses was full of Detroit UAW members.
Our DC affiliate, WRC, was on the scene of the accident and said there were no serious injuries, but one woman was bloodied and very upset.
They are in town for the events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom where Dr. Martin Luther King delivered his landmark "I Have a Dream" speech.
The cause of the accident isn't known at this time.
