Detroit police release pictures of would-be robber

DETROIT -

Detroit police are asking for the public’s help in finding a woman who tried to rob a store.

Police said the woman went into a store in the 14300 block of Gratiot Avenue on Oct. 13 and confronted an employee with a sharp object.

The employee struggled with the woman and was able to take the sharp object away from her.

The woman then fled and got into a waiting vehicle.

No one was hurt and nothing was taken.

Police have released pictures of the woman that were taken on store cameras.

If anyone has information on the woman in the pictures, they are asked to call Detroit police at 313-596-1340 or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAKUP.

Tips can be left anonymous.
