Detroit police: Men both shot while wrestling over gun

28-year-old man also suffers stab wounds

DETROIT – Two men were shot and one of them also was stabbed Thursday afternoon at a home on Detroit's east side.

Detroit police say a 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were arguing when one of them pulled out a gun at the home in the 11000 block of St. Patrick Street. They started to wrestle over the gun during which both men were hit by shots.

Then, police say, the 30-year-old man's 31-year-old sister stabbed the 28-year-old man with a knife.

The 30-year-old man was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound. The 28-year-old man was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound and stab wounds.

Detroit police are questioning the woman. They believe she may have been defending her brother.

No arrests have been made at this point.
