Detroit deputy police chief will be Flint's new police chief

DETROIT -

Flint's new police chief is going to be imported from Detroit.

Detroit's Deputy Police Chief James Tolbert will become Flint's police chief, Local 4 has learned.

Flint police chief and public safety director Alvern Lock resigned last week. He served as chief in the city since 2009.
