Detroit Branch NAACP to challenge Michigan's Emergency Manager Law

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Detroit Branch has plans to challenge Michigan's Emergency Manager Law.

The NAACP will hold a news conference Monday, May 13 regarding a Federal Court challenge to Michigan's Public Act 436, the Local Fiscal Stability and Choice Act (a.k.a. Emergency Manager Law).

The news conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse.

It will be led by Reverend Dr. Wendell Anthony, President Detroit Branch NAACP and Attorney Melvin Hollowell, General Counsel.
