Debbie Dingell filing petitions Friday to get on August ballot

DETROIT – Debbie Dingell will file her petitions Friday to get her name on the August ballot for Michigan's 12th Congressional District seat.

The House seat is currently held by her husband, John Dingell, who plans to retire after the longest congressional career in history.

Debbie Dingell will deliver petitions to the Michigan Department of State Bureau of Elections in Lansing.

"I believe in getting things done," Dingell said. "Let's work together to keep Michigan moving forward."
