Daniel Ferguson faces new felony charges

Ferguson accused of driving stolen truck to court

DETROIT – Daniel Ferguson, Bobby Ferguson's cousin who is married to Kwame Kilpatrick's sister, was back in court Wednesday facing brand new felony charges that could keep him in prison for 15 years.

The new case all has to do with a truck the Local 4 Defenders captured Ferguson driving as he left court in July after facing DUI charges.

Ferguson was behind the wheel of a truck when he was stopped and arrested on suspicion of driving drunk and when we talked with him then the Local 4 Defenders asked why he was driving a truck with Illinois plates.

What we didn't know then and what Ferguson didn't know was the St. Clair Shores Police Department was taking a close look at his ride -- learning the truck Ferguson drove to court was, according to police, stolen. That's right. He was was caught on tape driving an alleged stolen truck to court.

Police say it was stolen out of the state of Mississippi.

Ferguson is being held on $25,000 bond.
