Crime Stoppers offering reward in hit-and-run that killed Detroit grandmother

DETROIT – Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to the driver who hit and killed a Detroit grandmother in February as she walked to church.

Darlene Yeargin was killed the evening of Feb. 20 near Purtain Street and Asbury Park. She had been on her way to Lighthouse Cathedral Church, where she volunteered.

Police said they're looking for a black or other dark colored 2002-2003 Chevy Monte Carlo. They're also looking for a white conversion van that also hit Yeargin.

She was a grandmother to six.
