The United States Coast Guard rescued three adults and one child from a sinking boat Saturday afternoon in Lake St. Clair.

The 23-foot boat was taking on water near the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. The Coast Guard was alerted to the problem by the Macomb County Sheriff's Department.

The rescue crew took the people aboard their boat and towed the disabled vessel to the Island Harbor Marina in St. Clair Shores.

There were no injuries reported.
