Schools temporarily locked down during police situation in area

CLAWSON, Mich. – Clawson high school, middle school and two elementary schools were temporarily placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon.

The lockdown has been lifted, and students were allowed to be dismissed.

The district told Local 4 the lockdown was a precaution by police after a bank robbery at Key Bank, which is at 14 Mile Road and Custer Avenue.

Students were not dismissed until police gave the all-clear to the district.
