A Clarkston family is asking the public for help in finding a dog that ran from the scene of an accident that injured its owner.

Laura Pantea was walking the family dog, Jojo, last Saturday near M-15 and Cranberry Lake Road when she was struck from behind by a car.

Pantea was hospitalized but is back home recovering from scrapes and bruises.

Jojo ran away after Pantea was struck.  The family got Jojo in February after they had to put another dog to sleep.

Laura's daughter, Heather Pantea, described Jojo:

"He just turned eight. He's an Australian Blue Merle. We got him from a rescue in Indiana so he still has Indiana tags. He's wearing a blue collar. He should still be wearing the leash from the accident," she said.

Jojo is also described as timid. The family urges anyone who sees him to coax him with food, since he may be hungry.

Anyone in the Clarkston area who sees Jojo is asked to call 248-770-2013.
