Chelsea police seek Main Street robbers

Police say 2 men broke into, stole items from business early Friday morning on South Main Street

CHELSEA, Mich. – The Chelsea Police Department is looking for help identifying two men who, police say, broke into a business early Friday morning in the 1100 block of South Main Street.

Police say two men shown in surveillance images broke into the store about 4 a.m. by prying open the rear door. They stole a significant amount of items from the business and placed them in what police believe is a blue pillow case.

They were in and out of the business in less than 5 minutes.

The two men are described as the following:

1.) A black man wearing Timberland-style brown boots with black pants, a black sweatshirt and a black baseball cap.

2.) Another man wearing Timberland-style brown boots, dark colored pants, a white hooded sweatshirt and a dark colored bandana or mask over his face. He was carrying a pry bar about 3 or 4 feet in length.

Both men are described as average in size.
