Cabela's in Dundee is expected to be closed for a couple of days for cleanup following an electrical fire early Wednesday morning.

DUNDEE, Mich. -

The Cabela’s store in Dundee, Mich., will remain closed through the weekend, and until further notice, for cleanup from an electrical fire.

The fire happened early Wednesday morning and the store was originally expected to only be closed for a couple of days.

But in statement Friday, the outdoor outfitting store said there was more work to be done in repairs and restocking.

The building didn't suffer structural damage, but soot from the smoke and the compound that firefighters sprayed on the fire left residue on some merchandise, taxidermy and store fixtures.
Cabela’s said it would still honor sale prices for its upcoming Warm Up To Savings and Let’s Go Camping Dundee retail promotions through Sunday, May. 12.
Dundee customers are asked to call the store at 734-529-4700 prior to their next visit to ensure the store has reopened.
