A body was found in a car that was reported stolen in 2004 at the bottom of the river.

WYANDOTTE, Mich. -

A body was found by a recreational diver Thursday inside a car that was pulled from the river near a gazebo at the Waterfront Park in Wyandotte.

Wyandotte police say the license plate tags on the car expired in 2004. The car was reported stolen from Lincoln Park that same year.

Based on what the body looks like, police say it could have been in the vehicle since 2004.
