Ferguson facing 14 - 28 years in prison after racketeering, corruption conviction

DETROIT – Bobby Ferguson's wife Marilyn wants a divorce.

She filed the papers to divorce her husband Wednesday in Wayne County.

Ferguson, a former Detroit contractor and friend of Kwame Kilpatrick were found guilty in March of several racketeering and corruption charges.

They've been locked up since then with no bond.

During the trials, Ferguson's mistresses were called to testify. The couple has five children together.

The government says Kilpatrick took bribes from Detroit contractors and ensured that his pal Ferguson got millions in city work.

Federal prosecutors have asked for a 14-to-28-year prison sentence for both men. Ferguson and Kilpatrick are set to be sentenced in October.
