Birmingham doctor loses medical license over drunken driving convictions
A Birmingham doctor has had her medical license suspended by the state after being convicted of her third drunken driving offense.
The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) said Monday that gastroenterologist Rosanne Murphy, M.D., was convicted in April of her third operation while intoxicated offense -- a felony. Her license was subsequently suspended in July.
Murphy was sentenced to 183 days in jail, with credit for two days, followed by three years of probation.
