Police are searching for BB gun vandals in Sterling Heights.

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. -

Sterling Heights police are still searching for BB gun vandals.

Drivers -- 16 in all -- were targeted on Ryan Road between 14 Mile and 18 Mile roads. The shootings happened between the late evening and overnight hours. A few of the shootings took place after Christmas, but some are as recent as three days ago.

Police suspect the suspects to either be one person or a group of people. They would need a witness to the shootings or someone to write down a license plate number in order for them to catch the vandals.

Police say they are in contact with area schools and are looking on social media sites for someone bragging of the crime.

Police consider this to be a malicious destruction of property.
