Ishon Adonis Cannon and Louis Alan Williams.

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -

Two men from Detroit were caught red handed as they tried to steal appliances from a vacant home in Farmington Hills.

Early Thursday a concerned resident called police about suspicious activity on Snowden Drive.  The resident said a U-Haul truck was backed into the driveway of a neighboring vacant home that is listed for sale. Officers arrived and found 22-year-old Ishon Adonis Cannon and 23-year-old Louis Alan Williams inside the home attempting to steal the appliances.

Police say the men entered the home through a front window. The pair were arrested and charged with breaking and entering with intent to steal. Williams was also charged with possession of marijuana.

Police believe the suspects are involved in seven similar home break-ins in the area since September.

They were arraigned and each given a $50,000 cash or surety bond.

The Farmington Hills Police Department wants to remind residents to remain vigilant about suspicious activity and report this type of activity to police right away.
