NOVI, Mich. – Alcohol appears to have been a factor in a wrong-way crash Monday night on Interstate 96 in Novi, Michigan State Police said.
Police said the driver of a Pontiac was going westbound in the eastbound lanes near Meadowbrook Road when it hit a semi-truck head on.

The Pontiac's driver, whose name has not been released, suffered serious injuries.
The semi-truck's driver was not seriously hurt.
Police have also not yet said if any charges will be sought.
