Missing Indiana brother and sister found safe

Police: 3 people in custody

DETROIT – A brother and sister have been found after Indiana police issued an Amber Alert Monday for him and his sister, believing they were in Michigan.

Aaron Blackwell, 16, was found in Detroit.

Early Tuesday morning, officials said his 13-year-old sister, Emma Blackwell was returned to the family's home in Indiana. 

The two had last been seen around 3 a.m. Monday in Indianapolis.

Police said they were abducted at gunpoint by armed suspects.

Detroit police said they have three people in custody in connection to the missing teens.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the children likely were abducted by an African-American male who goes by the name of "Jay" and is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, 250 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.

No further information is available for the other people police are calling suspects and there is no vehicle description.
