Many fast-food restaurants list the calorie count of their menu items, but a new study suggest listing the amount of time it takes to burn off those calories is a better idea.
Researchers found that if consumers are aware of the number of minutes they'd have to exercise to work off the calories they are eating, they are more likely to order lower-calorie options.
Research participants who ordered off the activity-labeled menu, ordered 139 fewer calories less than those who chose from a calorie-labeled menu.
